Apprenticeships, Training & Qualifications
Apprenticeships are vital to the future of any trade. We strongly believe in training painters and decorators properly — passing on skills, maintaining high standards, and developing a strong work ethic.
Our apprentices work alongside experienced, fully qualified decorators to ensure every project meets the quality our customers expect.
We work closely with The Sheffield College, supporting students completing painting and decorating apprenticeships through real on-site experience and mentoring. We’re proud to attend the Sheffield College Apprenticeship Careers Fair this March, where we’ll be speaking to students about apprenticeship opportunities, qualifications, and what life is like working as a professional painter in Sheffield.
We also regularly attend careers fairs at local schools across Sheffield, encouraging young people to consider painting and decorating as a long-term, skilled profession with genuine career progression.

Most of the projects we undertake are site-based. Both site managers and clients require that only qualified tradespeople — or apprentices actively working towards their qualification — carry out work on site.
This isn’t simply a preference; it’s essential for complying with ever-evolving Health and Safety regulations and industry standards.
Holding a recognised painting and decorating qualification, combined with hands-on apprenticeship experience, opens far more opportunities once qualified. It allows individuals to confidently work across both commercial and domestic sectors, giving them a competitive edge within the industry.
