Becoming a Painter and Decorator

Who are we?

We are an established painting and decorating company with over 25 years of experience in the industry. We undertake work in both the commercial and private sectors and work for a variety of clientele completing a range of projects from new builds, commercial and industrial properties, regeneration works and void properties.

We paint both interior and exterior areas, use commercial grade wallpaper and specialise in spraying – the applicant would ideally have knowledge and experience (but not limited to) the areas outlined to best benefit from the amazing opportunities we have to offer here at Scott Anson Painters and Decorators.

What do we have to offer?

We have multiple opportunities for qualified painters and decorators to join our dedicated and hardworking team in an employed full-time position. The role includes competitive rate of pay, company pension, PPE supplied and use of our company fleet vehicles.

If you’d prefer, we also have sub-contracting opportunities, where you can work with us as an extension to the company as a sole trader.

What do we require?

All staff and sub-contractors are required to hold a valid and in date CSCS card to access sites. For candidates wanting to apply for the employed staff position our preference is that you will hold a blue CSCS card having achieved a minimum of a level 2 qualification in Painting and Decorating (C&G or NVQ).

Applicants for the staff role would be considered with a full green labourer’s card where the CITB H&S awareness course has been completed but there are no qualifications only experience in the trade – this is something to discuss during our interviewing process.

Staff are required to pass a UKATA asbestos awareness course, complete a face fit assessment, have a full and clean, valid driving licence, and undertake a full day induction to familiarise themselves with our H&S policies and procedures and complete relevant HR “new starter” paperwork.

Candidates should be dedicated in providing the best quality finish every time, competent in meeting deadlines, friendly and professional as well as driven and determined to meet the clients’ needs.
