Scott Ansons Painters & Decorators Ltd is an established company with years of experience in the profession. We have a fantastic team of employees, sub-contractors and apprentices who have the skills to turn your visions into reality.
With over 25 years’ experience in both the private and commercial sectors we work for a range of clients, decorating a variety of different sites, from new build properties, void properties and cyclical maintenance to projects requiring specialist materials or preparation.
We undertake successful projects where building use and functions need to be maintained with minimal disruption to service.
We undertake projects varying in size from 1 house jobs to 500 house new build sites completing the decoration and painting of commercial buildings using both directly employed and approved contractors. Working in partnership with our customers to ensure that work schedules, quality and specifications are met.

- Surface preparation: This involves cleaning, sanding, caulking, filing and priming surfaces to ensure the paint or wallpaper adheres properly.
- Painting: Applying paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, such as walls, doors, window’s, floors, and metals.
- Wallpapering: Hanging wallpaper, which can range from traditional patterns to more complex textured or custom designs. Fitting the paper around corners, cutting around frames.
- Restoration work: Repairing and restoring old or damaged surfaces or bringing a fresh look to historic buildings.
- Spraying: Spaying all types of surfaces. Completing mist coats and spraying to a finish. Spraying can be effortless and can create an effortless look to any surface – if done correctly.

- Apprenticeships: Many people start their careers as an Apprentice. This hands-on learning opportunity allows you to work under the guidance of experienced professionals while gaining valuable skills and knowledge in real-world settings. Apprenticeships combine classroom learning with on-the-job experience.
- On Site Assessment & Training: For those with more experience wanting to get qualified without doing an Apprenticeship. You can complete the On Site Assessment and Training (OSAT) – CITB. By completing the OSAT course you would receive an NVQ, a qualification recognised by CITB and CSCS. To be eligible for the course you are required to have three years’ experience in your occupation. The course is around 6 months, where an assessor will join you working on site to observe your skills and question you about what you are doing to test your knowledge.
